Lock-down restrictions have been lifted. Galleries and auction houses in London's Westend have reopened by appointment. Several museums will open their doors in August. We also saw a number of public sculptures who have racist connotations being toppled in the outcry of the death of George Floyd. We are living in an unparalleled epoch. Here at Renée Pfister Art & Gallery Consultancy, we have become accustomed to the home office, providing support to our clients and artists.

Peter Zimmermann and I met in 2008, since then we have collaborated together.

"Enough is Definitely Enough: Contemporary artists respond to Velazquez’ Las Meninas", curated by Andrew Bracey. The exhibition is touring from General Practice, Lincoln with new artists being added for Oceans Apart. It will tour on to Pineapple Black, Middlesborough from 19th June – 18th July 2020.

We are delighted to announce that Alexandra Carr has been commissioned by Technical University Dublin to produce a site-specific work for their new building.

As a new decade begins, we reflect and ponder what the next era will bring. We are aware of the fragility of our planet, the continuing disappearance of species, corrupt politicians and leaders, misused trust, malfunctioning systems and innumerable multi-layered problems. Irrespective of our differences, we must demonstrate the capabilities of the human spirit and nurture a pluralistic and fairer society.

After a busy summer, the autumnal season has arrived with a series of new exhibitions, art fairs and auctions. At our consultancy we experienced a busy period with many stimulating projects as well as promoting the work of our artists.  Further details can be found at our announcements section below.   

We have conducted a research trip for an out-door art project on behalf of a private client. Many bureaucratic hurdles have to be overcome before the collaboration comes to fruition.

It has certainly been a turbulent start for the artworld into the summer with the sale and privatisation of Sotheby's and the sudden resignation of CEO Yana Peel, at the Serpentine Gallery. At Renée Pfister Art & Gallery Consultancy we are engaged in various London based and international projects as well as providing ongoing support to our artists. The Curating & Exhibition Management short course at City University requires that students submit a collaborative project. As the course leader I am always amazed about the coursework they present.
