THE TIME IS ALWAYS NOW - ARTISTS REFRAME THE BLACK FIGURE

The exhibition, curated by writer Ekow Eshun, showcased the work of contemporary artists from the African diaspora. We were appointed by the Studio Museum in Harlem to ensure their loans were managed according to international museum standards whilst being on tour in the UK, at the National Portrait Gallery, London, and The Box in Plymouth.

NADIA STAMSELBERG - ALMA MATER AN EXHIBITION AT THE KNAPP GALLERY  REGENT'S UNIVERSITY

It was a pleasure to curate Nadia Stamselberg’s first solo exhibition ‘Alma Mater’ at the Knapp Gallery, Regent's University. In 2022, she unexpectedly lost her cherished mother. YOUR CAREER IN THE ART WORLD -  REGENT'S UNIVERSITY

The desire to pursue a career in the art world is the ambition of many. Finding your first job in a gallery or museum, progressing a career while already working in the cultural field and the desire to move into a different sphere these are topics this lecture explored.
International teaching institutions provide degrees in traditional disciplines like art history and curation, art market, cultural and museums studies, conservation and education. In addition, there are many other directions to choose from, depending on the persons  interest, qualification and skills.
Thank you Regent's University for inviting me to present a talk on this subject to your art history students.

GERNOT KISSEL – AN ARTIST ESTATE

Dealing with an artist’s estate offers a fascinating voyage into the complex and competitive world of the art market. Managing the paintings, drawings, prints, and sculptures artists have left behind after their death brings many challenges, especially when  their market has been broken.

Vera Schuhmacher Fine Art is the Representative to the Gernot Kissel Estate (1939 – 2008) and has a final stock of Kissel artworks.

GEORGIA DYMOCK -  FEMMES EXTRAORDINAIRES
Georgia Dymock's artistic hybrid offspring is inspired by a blend of stimuli, hovering from Greek sculptural forms to the highly stylised nudes of Tamara de Lempicka and the Great Gatsby.

These daydreaming anthropomorphic personages are engaged in a lavish world of their own. Self-absorbed, they appear to be lost in time and engaged in a leisurely lifestyle, where free time and recreation are central to their daily customs.
